The M/S Origo was built in Sweden in 1955 for the Swedish National Maritime Administration. In 1991 she started her career as passenger ship and has been cruising the Arctic waters of Spitsbergen every summer since. The Origo carries a maximum of 25 passengers in eleven twin cabins and one triple cabin, all with portholes and outside view. This marvellous piece of maritime history is loved by many. With such a small party on board it is like travelling on a private yacht, which offers an entirely different experience and perspective to that of a larger and more traditional cruise ship.
