Arne Naevra Guide
Arne is one of the Nordic region's most prominent nature film makers and has produced a number of nature and wildlife films for Scandinavian public service channels and for international companies such as the BBC. Several of the series feature material from the Arctic (Russia, Alaska and Svalbard) and Antarctica.
Arne has a degree in biology and has been particularly interested in animal behaviour, but also in communicating nature experiences and what threatens the world's nature.
He has dived with both walrus and leopard seals but is probably best known for his iconic image of the polar bear clinging to an ice floe in the open sea.
Arne has been a guide on a number of expeditions around Svalbard and enjoys hosting inquisitive, interested expedition participants.
"My hope is that I can help guests to have a powerful nature experience and that they all become good ambassadors for the vulnerable polar regions", says Arne.
