Sandra is an avid naturalist, traveler and photo-grapher with a keen interest in all kinds of nature observations. Fueled by curiosity and a passion for exploring, extensive journeys have led her across the globe: from the Himalayas to the Sahara sand dunes, from Africa’s savannas to windswept Patagonian plains.
Over a decade ago Sandra visited the polar regions for the first time. She immediately fell in love with the high latitudes’ nature, the beauty and the light. She loved it so much that she decided to become a Polar guide. Two years later she returned to the Arctic, and she has been working as guide and photo guide in the Arctic and Antarctica ever since. Sharing her enthusiasm for the natural world and the wonders of light is something that she loves to do.
Sandra holds a degree in journalism and works as a free-lance journalist, editor and writer. She leads dedicated photo trips, hosts photo workshops and has published two books on photography. Home is a small village in Bavaria, southern Germany, close to the Alps where she spends most of her spare time hiking, mountain biking and photographing.
