Vide Brandt Guide
Vide is born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden, but has been a Longyearbyen resident since early 2007. Ever since moving to Svalbard he has had an above average interest in hunting, fishing and outdoors activities such as snowmobiling and hiking. These interests gradually developed into a lifestyle, and hobbies became work.
Since 2014 he has been working full time as a polar regions guide, leading snowmobile excursions in the arctic winters, driving zodiacs in the summers and working seasonally both with the winter whales of Norway and far away in the deep south of Antarctica.
From spending half a lifetime in Longyearbyen he has gathered extensive knowledge of the regions history, culture and local fauna. He is most eager to show you the beautiful landscape that he calls his back yard.
