CABINS

There are 26 passenger cabins on board. They are all outside cabins with windows and private WC/shower. Each cabin has a fitted wardrobe with hangers, a mirror, desk and chair, hairdryer, electrical socket and bin. Your cabin will be cleaned daily and new towels are available upon request. There is shampoo and soap in all showers. All cabins are equipped with a small safe.

MARSHALL SPEAKER

In your cabin are speakers, which are easily connected to devices such as mobile phone, portable reading device or computer via Bluetooth or a wire (AUX). To be able to stream music from services such as iTunes or Spotify you need to have made your playlists accessible offline, since you will have no internet connection during the expedition.

COMMUNICATION

The ship can be contacted via satellite phone and e-mail. You can set up a temporary e-mail account to send/receive e-mails on board, but please note that you cannot send any attachments. You will receive prices and contact information together with the final documents.

Please note: There is no internet access on board and you will not be able to use your regular email nor have reception on your mobile phone during the expedition.

DRESS CODE

Since we are embarking on an expedition, the dress code on board is informal. We recommend that you bring comfortable, casual clothes that can be layered according to the temperature. We recommend wearing sturdy shoes with rubber or other non-slip soles when moving around both inside the ship and on deck.

ELECTRICITY

The electrical outlets in your cabins and elsewhere on the ship are 220 volts and Scandinavian two-prong plugs. We recommend that you bring an international adapter if you have devices that need to charge. All cabins are also equipped with USB outlets for charging of smartphones and cameras.

GRATUITIES

Gratuities optional and at your discretion. If you decide to tip, a standard amount for recognition of good service is USD $13 per person per day. This can be added to your shipboard account and paid by credit card or cash. The gratuity is divided among the hotel team. Other crew members are compensated for gratuities in salary. The PolarQuest guides do not solicit gratuities.

LAUNDRY

Please note that there are no laundry facilities on board.

LANGUAGE

All information presented by the guides will be in two languages - Swedish and English. The crew on board speaks English.

MEALS

Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style and dinner has waiter service. If you have special dietary needs, these must be clearly indicated prior to your departure.

MEDICAL
