Spirit of Enderby
The Spirit of Enderby is a comfortable fully ice-strengthened expedition vessel, built in 1984 for polar and oceanographic research and is perfect for expedition travel. She carries just 50 passengers and was refurbished in 2013. All 28 cabins have outside windows or portholes, deck and chair and ample storage space. The Main Deck Triple and Main Deck Twin cabins have a wash basin and share nearby bathrooms with the other Main Deck cabins. All other cabins have private bathrooms. The Triple Main Deck cabins have a bunk bed and one lower berth and the Main Deck Twins have two lower berths. The Superior cabins have bunkbeds while the Superior Plus cabins have two lower berths.
The Main Suites and the Heritage Suit have a separate bedroom with double bed. On board there is a recently updated combined bar/library lounge area and a separate lecture room, where we can listen to the guides’ lectures about the wildlife, nature and history of the Subantarctic Islands. In the dining room we enjoy excellent cuisine, prepared by top NZ and Australian chefs. There is always something to see or search for from the spacious observation decks. The ship is crewed by a very enthusiastic and most experienced Russian Captain and crew.
