Webinar: Svalbard – where small ships make a big difference

According to us, there is no better way to experience Svalbard’s stunning landscapes and wildlife than on board a small ship. With our small 12 passenger ships  you are far from the distractions of daily life and the crowds of larger vessels. Travelling with just 11 fellow passengers ensure you a front-row seat to the Arctic – a unique and personal experience where you feel close to the wilderness.

Would you like to learn more about M/S Stockholm and M/S Sjøveien, our two small 12-passenger ships in Svalbard, and also get a clearer idea of which time of the season suits you best? Then sign up for our webinar with Christian Engelke, expedition leader at PolarQuest and one of our leading guides on board just M/S Stockholm and M/S Sjøveien.

CHRISTIAN ENGELKE

Christian is one of PolarQuest's highly knowledgeable and popular expedition leaders, with extensive experience in our polar regions. He has spent many years in various locations in northern Norway, Svalbard, and Greenland. In recent years, he has led our whales and northern lights expeditions with M/S Stockholm in northern Norway, as well as several of our expeditions in Svalbard mainly on board M/S Stockholm och M/S Sjøveien.

Christian was born in Germany, but ever since he first set foot in Norway in 1996, he has been infected with the “Scandinavia bug.” Since then, he has explored the mountains and coastal regions of Norway and Sweden on foot, on skis, and by kayak. All these adventures have also meant that he has learned to speak Scandinavian.
